We had the pleasure of once again participating in Intersolar (2023), Europe’s largest solar exhibition, following our successful presence in both 2021 and 2022. This renowned event, hosted by Messe München, took place from the 14th to the 16th of June. But that’s not all—before the three-day exhibition, solar energy enthusiasts had the opportunity to engage in the Smarter E Europe conference, featuring a wide array of presentations and talks.
Intersolar 2023
Intersolar 2023 showcased an impressive gathering of more than 1,250 companies from across the globe, presenting their cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. Among the exhibitors, a significant presence was observed from both the Far East and Europe, reflecting the truly international scope of the event. The exhibition garnered substantial interest, as evidenced by the staggering number of visitors—105,000 individuals flocked to Intersolar 2023, eager to explore the forefront of solar energy advancements.
The exhibition floor had a wide range of exhibits, capturing the imagination of attendees. From state-of-the-art solar panel cleaning devices and machines to a solar-powered ping-pong table and even a solar tent, there was no shortage of captivating displays showcasing the solar industry’s versatility and innovation.
PLATIO Solar at Intersolar Exhibition: Showcasing Double-Green Solutions and Smart City Innovations
Our team from PLATIO Solar proudly represented our company at the exhibition. Through the installation of 30 PLATIO solar pavers, they engaged around a thousand visitors by explaining our product’s numerous advantages, furthermore, visitors to the exhibition also learned that the product is a double-green solution, as the frame is made from recycled plastic waste. PLATIO solar pavers can form on-grid and off-grid photovoltaic systems and we showcased some of our PV solutions at Intersolar.
Visitors were shown how PLATIO fits in with BIPV products and their potential applications, whether for new or existing projects. It is also important to note that PLATIO’s photovoltaic pavement can be used not only by private individuals in their homes but also by green companies that are striving for sustainability as they help to achieve net-zero goals. As PLATIO solar pavement can be the cornerstone of a carbon-neutral future and help to achieve net-zero emissions, visitors were keen to hear about the e-mobility and smart city solutions the product offers. It provides clean, renewable energy for various micromobility solutions, without being connected to the grid. One such off-grid system is the solar EV charging station. The Smart City Hub at the 2023 Intersolar Fair
We also showcased our collaborative venture, the Smart City Hub, developed in partnership with Kuube and Rollin. PLATIO’s PV system charges the scooters waiting at Rollin stations with clean energy. While waiting the Kuube bench ensures a social experience. This project is a testament to our commitment to fostering sustainable solutions for urban environments.
