Dutch city installs solar footpath
Hungary’s Platio has inaugurated a solar footpath in the Dutch city of Groningen. The installation consists of 2,544 monocrystalline Patio solar pavers with a 21.8% efficiency rating. It will generate 55,000 kWh of electricity per year and can purportedly withstand a pressure of 2 tons without microcracks.

Eerste Nederlandse zonnevoetpad op het Europapark
Vrijdag 24 maart is het eerste Nederlandse zonnevoetpad op het Europapark geopend door Wethouder Energietransitie, Philip Broeksma. Het pad van 400 m2 maakt onderdeel uit van het Europese project MAKING-CITY. Met 2544 zonnetegels van ieder 35 bij 35 cm wekt het duurzame voetpad ongeveer 53.000 kWh stroom per jaar op.
